Corundum var. Ruby in Phlogopite Mica matrix

This lustrous gem has perfect hexagonal shape and a deep pigeon blood red coloration. It measures 1.5 cm in size and sits beautifully among the surrounding shades of white and silvery-bronze matrix. It's impossible to capture the incredible brilliance of this crystal in a photo but trust me, it is a sight to see - especially when rotated side to side.
